From August 27th to 29th, the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ms. Teresa Ribeiro, will make an official visit to Japan, where she will meet with the Minister of State of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Toshiko Abe, in Tokyo.

During this visit, the Secretary of State will also hold a meeting with the board of directors of the Parliamentary Group for the Portugal-Japan Friendship and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). In these meetings, the relations between both countries in their different aspects and the opportunities for its strengthening and diversification will be discussed.

Ms. Teresa Ribeiro will also be the representative of Portugal in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD). Political representatives from various countries will participate in this conference - which will be held in Yokohoma - to discuss the promotion of the African continent development on the fields of education, agriculture, health, the human capital formation, the role of the private sector, the mitigation of climate changes and blue economy.
